ORAS Ready or Not!

Hello and good morning or afternoon or even night to all my readers and friends.  It has been a month or so since my last blog update and a lot has happened since last month.  Many of the events we will be covering in this my November edition of my blog.  I just wanted to say Happy Early Thanksgiving to you all.  For the ones who don't celebrate Thanksgiving this just may be a time for you to step back and say thanks for all of those things in your life that you are thankful for like your family, friends, or even just your good health.  The end of November also marks something else, something very special - the premiere of ORAS for all of us Poke fans both young and old.

Well the countdown has officially ended.  For many of us the wait is over and for the rest it is tomorrow.  At any course ORAS or Omega Red and Alpha Sapphire is here and what does that exactly mean for Pokemon fans across the world?  For many young pokemon fans it is the first time you will visit the region of Hoenn.  You will be introduced to two very new trainers at which you might have never seen before Brendan and May, to a brand new professor - Professor Birch and above all else be introduced to the origins of three very familiar starters Torchic, Mudkip, and Treeko.

The Adventures of Trainers May and Brendon

Within the last month or so Pokemon fans have gotten several different surprises.  The first being what will play out as a DLC from what I have read will be the Delta Episode.  In The Delta episode players will have to save the Hoenn region from both a incoming Asteroid and the schemes of Team Magma/Aqua, depending on which version you buy.  The Asteroid itself seems to be connected to a event from 3,000 years ago and during all this Team Magma/ Alpha are out stealing stones that are falling from the Asteroid as well as the Mega Stones that trainers have collected. With help from allies including Steven, Wallace and possibly the mysterious new trainer Zinnia, players will have to take the fight to Deoxy’s by flying into space on a Mega Rayquaza, I kid you not.  According to the trailer that was released last week, confirms that all four of Deoxy’s forms will be available to trainers. These forms are Regular, Attack, Speed and Defence and drastically change Deoxys stats.  Rayquaza and Deoxy’s aren’t the only legendary Pokemon announced in this trailer as it also confirmed the reveal that most if not all of Legendary Pokemon by the official Japanese Pokemon Magazine -  CoroCoro last week, although it was also revealed that if players catch all three Regi Pokemon, they’ll awaken Regigigas.

Mega Rayquaza vs Deoxys in outer space!?

The second surprise that we were introduced to was the addition of new legandary Pokemon - Hoopa and Volcanian which many fans have been hungering for ever since the they were teased by hackers who had hacked the game near the very beginning of Pokemon X & Y's existence!  My question is will we have to wait till later games to have their formal introduction or will we get to see them in the new Delta Episode???

So what does all this mean in retrospect to Pokemon: The Omega Experience and the other facebook groups?  Well I can't personally speak for the other groups, but as far as for Omega we will be switching over our game formats at the beginning of the year and focusing on ORAS.  We will be doing special X/Y tournaments, giveaways and such.  Like the old moniker "Out with the old and in with the new." & "and the show must go on" rings true my friends.

In closing today I would just like to say that when I originally played the third generation games.  It was a magical time for me when a lot was happening in my life both good and and bad.  So I think picking up these games will bring back those old feelings of what it was like for me picking Pokemon back up after my hiatus from playing first Gen.

Be well and safe my friends and enjoy the upcoming celebrations and until the next time when hopefully I will be bringing you an update about ORAS from the otherside of the game :)
