Introductions.....

My names Jerry Wilson.  I live in Miami Beach Florida.  I've lived here roughly almost 8 years now, moving here and there over south Florida.

               I've been playing Pokemon since the days of Red & Blue & Yellow.  A friend of mine at the time decided to dive head first into Pokemon so he actually bought me a copy because I already had one of the old heavy square gameboys and I was hooked every since.  At one time or another I've owned most of the RPG styled pokemon games except the Mystery Dungeon and Ranger series.  My favorite games are X & Y followed , up by The Hoenn series: Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, the Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for Nintendo Gamecube.

         Pokemon has always been a game that I have enjoyed playing it's so intricate.  Its as odd as it sounds has found its way in and out of my life at very interesting times.  I lost almost all of our stuff that was in our storage area from when we were evicted because we couldn't pay the bill.  One of the boxes that I was able to keep contained my Gameboy Advance and a few of my old Pokemon games like Ruby and Emerald and I immersed myself back into its world.

 My favorite Pokemon?
Torchic

             For anyone that doesn't know, Torchic is  a starter Pokemon that you can choose from at the beginning or the Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald games.  It starts off as a Fire Type of the three.  It has two evolutions in the game - Combusken at Level 16 and Blaziken at Level 36. In Pokemaon X & Y You can with the aid of a Mega Stone can fire up its Mega Evolution - Mega Blaziken.  Torchic is also the first Shiny that I ever bred using the Masuda method of breeding.
Masuda method for those that don't know is a method of breeding Pokemon to try and aquire the Pokemon's hard to aquire shiny color.  The method is named after Game Freak director Junichi Masuda, who programmed it into Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. He documented the method in his blog, where he mentioned a way that "rare colored Pokémon's Egg can be found little easier." The mechanics behind the method were discovered by Smogon.
           I've always liked it.  I don't know what it is about the cute little chick that I adore so much.

           What I like most about the group?  I like helping people out especially new trainers getting started.  I like putting together teams and battle testing for people.  I've got a lot of discovering to do about Pokemon I mean there up to date 718 different Pokemon.  Plus I've always liked helping people, so this puts me into a role of leader and caregiver at the same time.
As an Elite Four Member I like to battle.  If someone if going to beat me I'm going to make them work for it.  I may control a fire monoteam but I dare you to bring the water - I've got some tricks for you.

         My favorite strategy?  I like using combo moves.  Like Pokemon that can use Willowisp and then Hex.  You should develop your own style of play, what best fits your style of play.  Don't rely on something that works for someone else.
