Pokemon X and Y: Journey to be the Very Best |
So what's up guys. Today I am posting an interview I did a week ago on another member of the group. His name is Ben Davis and he serves as Elite Four Member. Here is a little insight into what he thinks about playing the game, the group, and Pokemon as a whole.
Me: Well thank you for taking a few moments and answering some questions that I had.
Ben: No problem man, anytime.
Me: So how long have you been with the group and what position do you have?
Ben: It's probably been over a month. I battled Genesis just like everyone did for a Elite Four spot and he awarded it to me after I beat him. I am the Fighting by the way.
Ben: I started when Pokemon Yellow came out and I have played all Pokemon games up to now. I got
into it when I watched the first episode of the series and read the Manga version, I thought it
was really interesting.
Me: So your familiar with the manga and the regular series? What would you say is the biggest differences between the two for people that aren't familiar with either one?
Ben: Trainer Red is the trainer from the Manga(obviously drawing his name from the Pokemon Red) and his goal is catching all the Pokemon and being their friend second Ash on the other hand is the trainer from the cartoon and his main goal if to be their friend first then he catches what pokemon he can second. I do however, have to admit that I think they portray Ash to be a softer trainer then Trainer Red.
Me: Ok so tough question. Out of the 718 Pokemon and their various forms who is your favorite and why?
Ben: Well I have two favorite really. Muk and Weezing. I watched the episode when the group was in the Orange Islands and Muk absorbed a Bellsprout plus he has some pretty cool moves. I like Weezing because I watched him grow along side James. Plus I think they are very underrated.
Me: You actually inspired me to check out Muk after the interview.

Me: So what are some tips you would give to a player just picking up the game?
Ben: Yes. Don't rely on using
legends to win every battle for you. Find a team of Pokemon that you're
comfortable with and use it, don't change because you can, do more when you
know the moves, nature, and ability. Have the upper hand against
someone who just keeps switching up there team.
Me: So what do you like about being part of the group and having an elite four postion?
Ben: Well tell you the truth
being in the Elite Four is not that imprtant. It doesn't matter what spot
you're in, everyone is equal strength I don't consider ranks. I like
having friends in the group who helps with my team and people who can be
more like a family. This group is more then people being a group - it's
being a family.
Me: I don't think I could have put it any better.
Me: So out of all the Pokemon games you have played what is your favorite?
Ben: Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 for the Nintendo 64.
Me: So in your opinion what is the best lineup for a team that you like and it does not have to be the one you use for your gym?
Ben: Ahh alright! Well what my best team is Tyrantitar, Nidoking, Fortress, Infernape, Dragonite and Throh. In that formation I have speed, bulky, def and attack. Fotress is to set up Nidoking and he is for power and speed, Tyrantitar is my powerhouse mega!
Me: Well one more question. If they were to remake a past Pokemon game. What would that game be and why?
Ben: I would want them to remake Pokemon Yellow because the classics never die. It would be amazing if
they made it that your trainer would travel with Pikachu all through Kanto, then when he
turns into a adult, he could have a son or daughter and that they travel
throughout Johto like Pokemon Gold.
